Strength Gym Designed by Athletes

American Raw Fitness is a Strength Based Gym designed by athletes, for athletes.  Equipment provided is top of the line regardless of your fitness goals.  Rest assured that no stone was left unturned in providing the best possible atmosphere for your fitness needs. The intention is to purposely take the BS out of commercial fitness, and create an environment that caters to the specific needs of the serious lifter.

 

Competitive Atmosphere

Owner and Manager Christopher Knight trains alongside all team members.  His emphasis is a family based environment.  No need to sit in the corner with headphones.  You will be pushed to your limits everyday.  Strength athletes compete for in house records, and the drive for success is contagious and consistent. 

Growth and Education

American Raw Fitness is rugged enough for the most hardcore athlete, yet designed to provide all that's necessary to new lifters.  Membership includes courses without extra cost.  Courses offered include education with Large Movements (Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift), as well as general information about different training styles.  No need for intimidating atmosphere with awkward equipment.  It is the goal for all clients new and seasoned to feel confident in their training, and knowledgeable in their craft.

Coaches

Cody Wilson

Cody Wilson is a strength and conditioning coach that utilizes the latest scientific research to tailor make his programming.  His coaching style involves utilization of practical application with emerging research on RPE training, meso/microcycles, and overall strength progression.  Cody also has extensive experience with meet day handling and coaching as well as a USAPL coaching certification. 


Cody is available for in person training at American Raw and online programming as well as meet handling.

Steve Maday

Steve has 12 years experience in the fitness industry with a B.S. in Exercise Science and is NASM-CPT certified. Growing up as a competitive athlete, Steve has always enjoyed strength training and for the last 7 years has found passion in powerlifting achieving a 500+ wilks in both the 242 and 275 weight classes. Steve has worked with individuals with a wide array of goal types ranging from strength and weight loss to powerlifting.


Steve is available for in person training at American Raw as well as online programming and meet handling.
